Trust in Him at all times... Psalm 22:8
There is a phrase I say at least once a day. When someone asks me how I am I answer, " I am always good." This answer reminds me that no matter what the circumstances God will work them out to His good, always.
There is another phrase we should say every day. This phrase is tucked in our pocket, kicked around in purses and rides shot gun in our wallets. It is the phrase, " In God We Trust."The phrase, " In God" tells us the who, God is the only one worthy that should bare the trust. " We", encompasses everyone. From the crawling child to the rebellious adult all should fall upon, fall into and fade deep into His arms every night. " Trust", is the what of the message. It is the action of what we are called to do. Trust sounds the trumpet that we are confident in the Lord. It means we will walk with joy because we know Father will come through for us. It says we know we will be delivered and will triumpth because of God's goodness.
In God We Trust. Sarah understood it. Surely her barren body must have whispered it in the middle of the night. In God We Trust. David heard it echo off the walls of his cave as a refuge fearing for his life. In God We Trust. One phrase fits all.
When our mother passes suddenly. When our brother lays face up in a morgue. When the doctor can barely speak the words. When our spouse runs out of our lives. When injuries strike and our world is turned upside down. In God We Trust. Hope upon hope. Trust upon trust we will walk with high expectation for what the Lord will do.
Hope upon hope
We will wait upon the Lord.
We will join our hearts together.
Say it loud in one accord.
Trust upon trust
We will lay our hearts upon the alter.
Content to wait upon the Lord
Knowing He will never faulter.
