Above And Beyond

He has told you what He wants Micah 6:8

Has God ever called you to something? Has He ever asked you to rise above the foundation you stand on and move beyond what you can see? Nehimiah understood these words. He was the simple servant in the castle of a King. His resume was short. Yet his desire was strong.

Far above his experience was his desire to obey. He didn't shrink back and he was not a man of excuses. He rose above and moved beyond his circumstances. To do great things for God you must mobilize your heart towards action. Your purpose will sustain you far after the taste of dissapointment. The very breath of Father will be on your back to carry you forward.
When we fill our lives with God's purpose courage miraculously shows up at your doorstep.

I knew a man that in high school was called the shadow because he was so quiet. But inspite of his inablity to speak and inspite of his lack of confidence at that time God had other plans. Of all things he became a salesman and God raised him up to be a great leader of that company.He was short in stature but God made him large in his opportunity to touch peoples lives. He often turned a weekend sales conference into an opportunity to present Christ. His tools were books, tapes and prayer. Often I would see him stay up into the late hours talking to any heart that was ready to recieve Christ.

He was the first man I ever heard stand in front of hundreds and declare that Christ was number one in his life. He stood in his million dollar house and said, " All that I have is because God has chosen to bless me. " To an unsaved, silly single man that spoke volumes to my empty heart. He rose above and moved beyond to touch people.

What could you do
If God called you?
What might be done
For the Savior,
The Son?

Touched by the Lord
And driven by the King
Nothing can stop you
For you can do anything.
