This Terrible Toxic Mentality

Have you ever met anyone bent on tearing people down? Rather than working on themselves by building up their confidence and their abilities they seek and destroy. Their mission is to bring others down to their level. My observation is they are usually prone to fill their lives with doubt, fear and anxiety. I call these people toxic.

Far better to lead a life filled with encouragement to offer hope beyond our hands. Far better to leave a smile after we have left the room rather than a frown. Far better to leave the sweet, sweet smell of Jesus lingering in the air than to utter words that rip and tear people apart.

When we have a unselfish genuine concern for others it becomes evident. This Christian love is commanded, it is manifested in obedience and often leads to service. Everyday we walk this earth we have a choice.We can be infectious, loving and living God or we can trample on people's emotions and torment them with our antics. Let our love always reflect the great everlasting love of our Father.


Father,
May my love be so evident
There will be no doubt it came from You.
May Jesus go before me
In everything I do.

May all who come before my path
Be touched in such a way,
That Your ever present shining love
Will come to them today.
