If You Are Doing Gods Work, Duck

And rise up to the battle Jer 49:14

It has been years now that I was reading a daily devotional and I heard the words, " You can do this." Since that time I have completed a manuscript for a devotional. God has sent this sight all around the world. I am being published in our local paper. And I am working on book number two.

Here is one thing I know to be true. If you are doing God's work you better duck. Because along with God using the words I write I have also had more than my share of trials. I have had a car accident that rendered my car useless. I have had two computers crash on me. The enemy has attacked my children with sickness and injury. Those same children have rebelled relentlessly. My neighborhood has rejected me to the point of having to get a restraining order against one of my neighbors.

When we are satisfied with doing little for the kingdom the enemy is happy. The very moment we decide to do more, be more, climb higher satan loads his quaver. After all, when we reflect God's image it angers satan and it is then that he reaches for his most poisonous arrows.

My fellow Christians we are and always will be in a spiritual battle. Let us acknowledge this as truth, set our sites on the enemy and equip ourselves to win the war. When he puts your feet to the fire stand strong. When he attacks your heart refute him in Jesus name. When others come to destroy your reputation remind them whose child you are.

In the face of the enemy
I will stand strong.
When satan comes to destroy
I will write the words
And sing the song.

What ever he might bring my way
Will never really faze me.
For I have Jesus Christ at my side
And He will always raise me.
