Let's Analize This

For whom the Lord loves He corrects even as a father the son whom he delights Prov. 3:12



My son and I were in the heat of the battle. I had stored up my laundry list of changes I was expecting, demanding . In the middle of the storm it hit me how his rebellion was similar to mine at times with our Heavenly Father.



I switched gears and proceeded to show him grace, mercy and love. God could slay me in a moments notice with His list of my failures. But He doesn't. He continues to show me mercy inspite of my head strong mentality. He continues to answer my prayers beyond my wildest dreams. And He continues to desire my fellowship rather than reject me for my foolish ways.



Let's analyze this I said to my child

As I tried to make my point.

God simply will not bless you

He simply won't anoint,



The harsh words, rebellion

And the running to be free.

All these things I saw so clear

Were so evident to me.



And as I heard each word roll out

It became so blatantly clear,

The words were not just meant for him

But words I needed to hear.
