When You Don't Hear His Voice

One of the most popular sports in the country is auto racing. Here is a sport where the driver and the car are pushed to the edge of failure. Performance is based on last second decisions by the driver at eye popping speed. The mechanical equipment is often called to the brink of break down.

Our every day process of life can be like the Indy 500. Let's face it, at times, life can be harried, hassled and hectic. The speed that we travel and the competition we face daily at work can empty our spiritual gas tank and leave us fatigued. " For the man or woman at the edge of a Jordan, wearied by too many choices and burdened with too many obligations there is a simple formula: safe places, still times and special friends." So what should we do when we don't hear His voice? What can we do when we don't sense His presence? Just like the Indy 500 driver we need to make a pit stop.Renewing our spiritual passion is predicated on this very decision.

Spiritual passion is critical to carrying out God's intentions. There are two suggestions for maintaining spiritual passion. Find a quiet place where God can whisper. My sanctuary is my car. The radio is off and my mind is tuned to Christ. Tears flow as God speaks and I am engulfed with His presence.

In addition, surround yourself with like minded people. Catch the fire that another has and let them carry you to Christ. Ride shot gun with them on their spiritual walk.

Accepting our humanness, redirecting our decisions and re-committing our heart to Jesus is vital to hearing His voice and feeling His touch in your life.
