Is God Your Chief Joy

Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift2 Cor. 9:15

Have you ever met someone for the first time and you walked away thinking " Is that guy for real?" Are they really that happy? They seem to have a perpetual smile that shines from the inside out. Troubles don't even seem to faze them. They seem to have contentment written on their forehead.

You know one or two like this. They carry God's unending, loving care close to their heart. They have a complete belief without any shadow of a doubt that God is who He says He is. What a witness people like that are.

If our joy is manifested in a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus we will recognize the unspeakable gift. When we seek the cross our day is forever filled with sonshine even during the storms of life. It is this joy that will carry you through the valleys and shout at you in the dessert. This becomes our road map. It is our blue print to follow in the tough times.

Our joy is everlasting, unspeakable and abundant. It is because our name is written in the reality of Heaven. When we absolutely accept these thoughts we walk with a great delight and our glad heart will never be shaken. In fact in difficulties we will embrace the struggles and overcome them.

Is God your chief joy?
Does He thrill your very heart?
Does the resurrection move you?
Has it touched every part.

Have you climbed up on the mountain
and rested on the cross.
Tasting His pure love
that clings to us like moss.

This fountain overflowing
with undeserving love
can change your life forever
when it is sent from above.
