The Condition Of The Heart

Born only seconds apart, destined to look exactly the same in physical appearance identical twins often appear the same. Born with the same hair and eye colar, and the same chiselled features one can be hard pressed to tell who's who. Most times the human eye can not tell them apart but what makes them individuals is the condiition of the heart.

As Christians we are like the identical twins. We all are imputed the same glories the moment we believe. Yet, we are so completely different.

One can be born with the seed of rebellion and one can have the mindset of complete surrender.
One can be waiting, wanting and willing to serve Christ and the other sitting with his track shoes trying to run from our Lord. So it is the condition of our heart that determines our temperature for Christ.

One heart can be without moral feeling and bent on cruelty like Joseph's brothers. Or it can be spiritually sensitive, wise and prudent.

As Christians we have a choice and that is to look for God's hand in every human event. We can be forgiving and a determined man of faith or we can listen to wordly advice that leads us away from the cross and turns our heart to stone.

And so it is a daily desire to harken our hearts to Christ. We must always give respectful attention to the condition of our heart. If it is darkened, blind, wicked, unrepentent ,coveteous and rebellious then we must lay it at the throne and allow God to perform heart surgery. We call Him the great physician for that very reason.

God still is in the miracle business. He can, He has and He will repair it. If He already has come thru for you then you can beleive with all your heart, sanctify God in it, love God with all of it, serve God with all your heart, trust with all your heart and do God's will. You can do all of this because of the condition of your heart.

At any given moment
I am desperate for You.
Standing in the darkness
to see what You will do.

Take this retchid heart
and turn it into clay.
Change me, move me, mold me
today.
