What Are You Searching For?

The world is filled with all kinds of ideas of what we should use as guidelines when searching for a spouse. Advertising is blatantly clear on the outer appearance. I, for one, use a different grid. Adhering to these principles will give me a clear picture and a sound foundation to build our house in the Lord.

For me, there could not be a better fit than to find two hearts bound together with the same desires to evangelize. Two hearts capable of looking outside of themselves and wanting to spend their waking hours reaching lost souls. Two hearts that would be conscious that every act of love they commit to each other affects their brother. Two souls that compliment each other so well with their spiritual gifts that they light up the world for Christ.

You might say that I am asking for too much. I say we serve a great and awesome God that filled us and formed us to fit together like no other.

Come let us bound up
in the newness of the meadows.
Let's climb higher
and reach farther for the cause of Christ.

My fair one
you have awakened
that which laid dormant.

The meadows resound
with the sound
of your voice.

Before you,
my heart was locked
my keys thrown
to the sea.

But you,
my fair one,
encompass me.
