Let us run with patience.Heb12:1
There is a man I see in our neighborhood all the time. Come what may in all hours of the day he is out running. He runs rain or shine cold or hot. He almost seems possessed by it. He actually looks like he was born to run.
He is sleek. His body is tight. His skin is taught. He is obviously eating right and doing all he can to take care of himself.
But I have to ask what about the inside? Is he doing as good a job taking care of himself internally? What about the inside? Does he know the peace that comes with knowing Jesus?
I want to stop him and just blurt it out. I suppose I could go buy a pair of $ 100.00 running shoes and join him. But that for sure would put me in traction.
Yet, I still can't help but wonder if God doesn't send him my way to remind me to keep running the race. Keep running after scriptures and embrace the word. Keep my faith in my heart and continuing the race to try and plant seeds for the King. Be faithful no matter the seasons of my life and just keep running.
The fog has lifted
my eyes can see
deeply planted
my goals rest in me.
I'll take the challenge.
I'll run the race.
And stand victorious
with a smile on my face.
Not by chance
and not by guess.
I'll finish the race
ahead of the rest.
With God as my beacon.
With faith at my side
I'll stand at the finish
knowing I have tried.
