It's Like Coming In The Backdoor

As a new agent trying to master the craft of selling life insurance there was one man that amazed me. He was always the top producer . There was nobody with the boldness and the skill to make things happen. He literally would walk down the road and walk up to perfect strangers and start the conversation with " Why won't you buy life insurance from me?"

You see. from that point forward, he knew what ever they threw at him he had a closing statement. He was committed and prepared.

I think of him now as I approach people for Jesus Christ. I am not as bold as he was to come up to someone and say, " Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior. But I can say " Hey, let me share something that is uplifting and positive. I think you would be encouraged by my site." It is actually like coming in the backdoor. Once there, it is up to Christ to show them the many tools that are at the site. In the quiet Christ will convict them.

One of the Christian tracts that can be e-mailed tells the story of a young woman that was drinking her cup of coffee. She inadvertently spilled the cup and it disabled her D.V.D. She needed to get it repaired so she randomly picks a spot. A s she is dealing with the issue of repair the young man tells of a concert at his church. To make a long story short she goes. The band talks straight to her heart and she has not stopped going since.

Being a witness for Christ is not hard. We have tools to open the door. We just have to have a heart for others. I now realize there are two types of hunger. Having a hunger for Christ. And having a hunger for those that don't know Christ.For me that hunger comes in tears because there are so many that don't know Christ.

Yes it is important to strengthen our grip and improve our walk. But right beside you at McDonald's could be the next Billy Graham. Look at them. Look out for them and look up with them.

God takes time to speak
if we would only listen.
Be a beacon in the night.
Light the path so it might glisten.

Be a voice of God the Father
have the feet that walk this land.
Have a heart that's always ready
to move at His command.

With a song of understanding
We will ring the bell so clear.
Help others meet the Savior
So they will never walk in fear.
